A slow walk between little libraries
Inspired by Jane's Walk, this is a relaxed afternoon spent wandering from one Little Free Library to the next with neighbours. Leave a book if there's room, take one if it catches your eye, snap a shelfie so the next person knows what's inside, and help us discover libraries that aren't on the map yet. There's no set pace and no pressure -- come for one stop or stay for all of them.
What to bring
- A few books to pass on (only leave one if there's room)
- Water -- there are refill points along the way
- Sun protection: hat, sunscreen, shade-friendly clothes
- Comfortable shoes for a few easy kilometres
How it runs
We start and finish at VPL Mount Pleasant. Rest stops are come-and-go, so you can peel off or join back in whenever suits you.
We've scheduled the walk to avoid the peak afternoon heat. If it turns extreme, we may postpone or cancel and will email everyone who registered.
Where we're walking
A loop through Central Vancouver, starting and ending at VPL Mount Pleasant. The cups mark rest stops with washrooms, water, and a place to sit.
Stop by stop
The walk will begin after a brief introduction at Mt. Pleasant VPL. Schedule times are approximate and may be subject to changes and delays.
Schedule coming soon -- we're walking the route to time it. Check back closer to the date.
Register for the walk
Optional, and walk-ups are always welcome -- registering just helps us plan numbers and lets us reach you if the weather forces a change.
